Vishwaroopam supports

The support for Kamal Haasan spiked today with prominent film stars and directors in Tollywood and Bollywood rallying around the actor-director whose film Vishwaroopam has been banned for two-weeks by the Tamil Nadu government.

Actors and directors, in a flurry of tweets, pointed out that the government has no right to intervene after the national censor board has cleared a movie.

"A zone of shame for a sham of a political scenario....Kamal Haasan needs not only our support but fraternity proactivity.....like NOW!!!," said director Karan Johar. 

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan tweeted this diktat to his fans: "go stand outside the cinema hall and insist on seeing the film. It's a movie, entertainment. What law and order problem on a movie?"

Prakash Raj - "It's not who lost but who WON is terrifying. This happened Today to Kamala Hassan Tom it can happen to any one of us. WAKE UP everyone." (sic)

Actor Nani - "TN Govt has hurt my religious sentiments becoz .. I'm an actor, acting is my religion and Kamal Hassan is my God. Vishwaroopam ban chesinandhuku kamal hassan fan Ayina naatho Saha Chala mandhi manobhavalu dhabbathinnayi, Memu roadlekki raalu visurtham ... Ethesthara ban" (sic)

Arvind Swami - "What is happening to Kamal sir is unfair and unjust. Request the artistes and technicians associations to organise a silent show of protest. on my way back after meeting Kamal sir. He has my unconditional support. Keep the faith. He will emerge victorious with all our support. I cant control/decide on what other people think or do. I wanted to express my support to Kamal Sir, i met him and did just that" (sic)

Mahesh Bhatt - "Zero tolerance towards intolerance! Are we going to be governed by the whims of these power drunk politicians or by the rule of law?" (sic)

Anupam Kher ‏- "Kamal Hassan travelled with me to LA and kept talking passionately about exciting times in cinema in India. This is what we do to him. " (sic)

Harris Jayaraj - "My support and prayers are for Kamal sir..... He will definitely come out Of this mayhem" (sic)
